Research Interests

My current research focuses on how gender-affirming care has the potential to be transformative for not only those who undergo it but also for those who provide it. At present, I am working with a local free-clinic to determine how trans and other LGBTQ+ patients make sense of their access to / quality of care.

  • transgender healthcare
  • gender-affirming care
  • life-saving care
  • critical medical anthropology
