Lambda Alpha

The purpose of Lambda Alpha Anthropology Honor Society (Lambda Alpha) is to encourage and stimulate scholarship and research in anthropology by recognizing and honoring superior achievement in the discipline. Within this organization, there are leadership opportunities in the Delta Chapter at the University of Florida. Society members receive the Lambda Alpha newsletter, an opportunity to apply for Lambda Alpha scholarships, involvement within the department, and other benefits. Induction of new members takes place in both fall and spring. Please reach out to the current executive board if there are any questions.

The Lambda Alpha Anthropology Honor Society is open to all students who meet the eligibility requirements.

Lambda Alpha, Delta Chapter of Florida eligibility requirements for undergraduate membership:

1) 3.5 GPA in anthropology courses

2) 3.0 overall GPA

3) 12 hours of coursework completed in anthropology
