Jaye Madden is an Administrative Specialist in the Anthropology Department, where he is the point person for many administrative tasks. Before joining Anthropology, he worked in the Geography Department at the University of Florida. Outside of work, Jaye enjoys eating liver with fava beans and a nice chianti.

Jen Massimin is an Administrative Assistant in the Department of Anthropology. She has worked in forensic toxicology and biotechnology labs and volunteers for We Rock Gainesville and Prairie Creek Conservation Cemetery. Jen has been playing drums since age 7 and dabbles in other instruments, so feel free to discuss music with them anytime!

Gabe Vasquez is an Administrative Assistant for the Anthropology Department, where he supports departmental travel, payroll, and general HR duties. Before joining Anthropology, he worked in UF Central Payroll and the Geography Department and earned his undergraduate degree from UF. Gabe is one of two drummers who work in the main office!

Main Office

We are located in Turlington Hall on Union Road and Newell Drive. Explore UF’s interactive map. 

To reach the Anthropology Main Office from Union Road: Go up the stairs and take the doors to your left which are labeled “Department of Anthropology.” The Main Office is down the hall on the left in Room 1112.

To reach the Anthropology Main Office from Newell Drive:  Enter in the main doors and turn right, continue down the hallway turning left, then the Main Office is on the right in Room 1112.
