Women in Anthropology

Women in Anthropology is a formal support, resource, and networking group which fosters communication and dialogue on the experiences, needs, and concerns of women and non-binary graduate students and allies affiliated with the University of Florida Department of Anthropology. Our work centers on creating safe and inclusive spaces, fostering involvement in department activities, facilitating collaboration and networking, providing holistic support, existing as a broader forum for discussion and action, and promoting dialogue and improvement on the quality-of-work and quality-of-life issues for women and non-binary people in Anthropology. Anyone affiliated with our department and interested in this work is welcome to attend meetings or get involved by joining our Facebook group (UF Women in Anthropology) or contacting any of our members!

New Florida Journal of Anthropology

The New Florida Journal of Anthropology is a gold open access, peer-reviewed, graduate student-run academic journal housed in the Department of Anthropology of the University of Florida. NFJA encourages diversity of scholarship by publishing broadly anthropologically focused research with no geographic or temporal restrictions, nor are the submission limited to the UF community.
