Research Interests
My research includes the ethnography of everyday lives of pediatric cancer patients belonging to middle- and lower-income families in Delhi, India. My research interests center around pediatric cancer care, palliative care facilities and administration of biomedical care which leads to poor health outcomes among children in Delhi. I am further interested in hospital ethnography, bureaucratic administration of health, and theoretical notions of pain, care, vulnerability and agency. My research draws from both Medical Anthropology and the Anthropology of Childhood to produce narratives of children suffering from cancer in India
