Teaching in the Large Lecture Hall
Please join Dr. Carmen Alondra Laguer-Diaz and David Markus as they discuss strategies and tips for managing the classroom and enhancing student learning. They’ll cover common problems, among them: encouraging student participation and engagement, managing TAs, developing effective assessments, and constructing and delivering lectures and other course content. They will also discuss strategies for managing and enhancing online learning. If you are new to teaching, expect to be teaching a large class in the near future, or simply want to expand your bag of teaching ticks, you may find this session particularly helpful.
