Department Picnic

This coming Sunday, August 26, the department will host a welcome back picnic from 1-4 pm at Depot Park, in downtown Gainesville.  The department will provide main dishes, and everyone is invited to bring a side dish to share.

New Faculty and Student Reception

On Wednesday, Aug. 29, we will host a reception for our new faculty and graduate students.  This will be held in the Keene Faculty Center beginning at 4 pm.

Graduate Student Town Hall

Graduate Student Town Hall: on October 17 we’ll have a Town Hall style meeting for graduate students, scheduled from 3-5 pm in the Keene Faculty Center.  The Town Hall is an opportunity to bring questions, comments, and concerns to the chair (who happens to be me, of course).  I anticipate this being a twice-a-year exercise.
