he department will be showing “The Anthropologist” to coincide with a visit by Dr. Susie Crate.
The film explores climate change (and more broadly, social change) as it is affecting different parts of the world, such as the Andes, Siberia, and Pacific Islands, and how researchers are approaching the problem. It focuses on the work and experiences of Professor Susie Crate (George Mason U), seen through the eyes of her teenage daughter as they visit research sites where climate change is a looming issue. Although the film is called “the Anthropologist,” the film has broad relevance.
