Justin Hosbey was selected to attend the NEH ODH Institute for Advanced Topics in the Digital Humanities, “Space and Place in Africana/Black Studies: An Institute on Spatial Humanities Theories, Methods and Practice for Africana Studies at Purdue University (Summer 2016).
Ayllsha Winburn has made it to the final round of the UF “3-Minute Thesis” competition, where PhD students compete by summarizing their research questions, methods, and conclusions in short “sound bites.” The competition is open to the public, and there is a “people’s choice” award, based on audience votes.
Ayllsha extends the invitation to the department. (I would love to look into the auditorium and see it filled with friendly, supportive anthropologists! One of the awards is based on audience support, so please come out and support Allysha).
2016 Three Minute Thesis Competition on March 29th at 2 p.m. in the Reitz Union Auditorium
