Issue 3 of Emic was developed around the concept of “foundations”. A seemingly fixed and tangible word resulted in a dynamic and moving collection of art and research. Visions of Floridian heartbreak to discovering HIV can also result in reduced bone mineral densities reminds us of the breadth of anthropology and what makes a person.
This mixed-media magazine focused on bolstering the original and academic works of undergraduates through a digital platform.
Emic values the creativity and personal nature of its submissions and welcomes non-traditional storytelling mediums as a method of conveying the diversity of human experience through an interdisciplinary lens.
