The Primatology undergraduate certificate program provides an intensive foundation in non-human primates for UF undergraduate anthropology and non-anthropology majors. Courses emphasize the role that biology, behavior, ecology, and evolution play in understanding primates. Students with the Primatology certificate will be competitive for graduate studies in related fields and employment from sectors such as zoos, sanctuaries, government conservation organizations, museum curation, and wildlife veterinarians.
The certificate offers an intense exploration of the world’s non-human primates through social and biological science perspectives which integrates elements of biology, behavior, ecology, conservation, evolution, and culture.
